| 1 | Switch off ignition | ||
| 2 | Remove front engine cover | ||
| 3 | Remove air filter housing (8). | *BA09.10-P-1001-01M | |

| 4 | Loosen clamp (3) for intake hose (2) on hot film MAF sensor (B2/5) | ||
| 5 | Pull off purge line (4) from resonance intake manifold (1) | ||
| 6 | Detach crankcase breather line (5) on intake hose (2) and unclip on resonance intake manifold (1) | ||
| 7 | Remove crankcase breather line (11) on resonance intake manifold (1) | ||
| 8 | Disconnect electrical connector at pressure sensor downstream of throttle valve (B28/7) | ||
| 9 | Disconnect electrical plug connector on throttle valve actuator (M16/6) | ||
| 10 | Unclip electrical line on throttle valve actuator (M16/6) | ||
| 11 | Remove vacuum line (7) on resonance intake manifold (1) | ||
| 12 | Remove vacuum line (6) to vacuum pump | ||
| 13 | Disconnect electrical connection on intake manifold intake air temperature sensor (B17/1) | ||
| 14 | Disconnect electrical connection on intake manifold selector drum switchover valve (Y77/3) and intake manifold resonance flap switchover valve (Y77/2) | ||
| 15 | Remove cover (1a) on resonance intake manifold (1) | *BA09.20-P-1008-01T | |
| 16 | Remove screw/bolts (1s) for resonance intake manifold (1) on left intermediate flange (1l) and right intermediate flange (1r) | *BA09.20-P-1001-01T | |
| 17 | Remove resonance intake manifold (1) | ||
| Only perform operation steps 18 to 23 for removal of the left intermediate flange (1l) or the right intermediate flange (1r) of the resonance intake manifold (1) | |||
