Remove/install rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay box - AR54.21-P-1259RK

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install

REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS
Connect Star Diagnosis and perform initial startup of rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2)
Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory
When replacing the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2). AD00.00-P-2000-04A
2 Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key (A8/1) or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button (S2/3) from electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) IMPORTANT KEYLESS-GO start/stop button (S2/3) only with code (889) KEYLESS-GO.  
3 Remove right side paneling in rear   AR68.30-P-4780RK
4 Remove frame (3) IMPORTANTRemoval:  Carefully unclip the frame (3) upward.  
5 Unscrew bolts (1) and remove bracket (2)    
6 Unscrew nut (4)    
7 Lift out rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) INSTALLATION NOTES Make sure that electrical lines are not pinched.
The electrical system can otherwise be damaged.
 
8 Disconnect electrical connections (8, 9) NOTES
The circuit 30 electrical connectors (8, 9) must be disconnected first and connected last.
Short circuits can otherwise occur.
IMPORTANT To do so, unlock and disconnect the electrical connectors (8, 9) by pushing back the tabs using an extraction hook (arrows D, E).
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT The contact blade (10) must make contact all the way forward in the connector housing of the electrical connectors (8, 9).

9 Disconnect remaining electrical connections from rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) IMPORTANT The number of electrical connectors depends on the vehicle equipment.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Pay attention to the installation position; this is indicated by color and mechanical coding.
 
10 Unclip fuse holder (7) from rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) (arrows C) and remove rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) IMPORTANT The number of fuse holders (7) is dependent on the vehicle equipment.  
11 Install in the reverse order
