Remove/install SAM control unit with fuse and relay box, right front - AR54.21-P-1261RK

NOTES Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge   AH54.00-P-0001-01A
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Connect Star Diagnosis and perform initial startup of front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) When replacing the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1).  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory   AD00.00-P-2000-04A
2 Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key (A8/1) or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button (S2/3) from electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) IMPORTANT KEYLESS-GO start/stop button (S2/3) only with code (889) KEYLESS-GO.  
3 Remove bolt (1)    
4 Undo clips (3)    
5 Remove cover (2) IMPORTANT To do so, lift the water collector (1) slightly.  
6 Remove screws/bolts (4) IMPORTANT The bolts (4) remain in the housing of the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1).  
7 Lift out front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) INSTALLATION NOTES Make sure that electrical lines are not pinched. The electrical system can otherwise be damaged.  
8 Disconnect electrical connectors (5, 6, 7) NOTES The circuit 30 electrical connectors (5, 6, 7) must be disconnected first and connected last. Short circuits can otherwise occur.
IMPORTANT Unlock electrical connectors (5, 6) by pressing back the shackles using an extraction hook (arrows B, C) and disconnect.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT The contact blade (8) must be pushed all the way forward into the connector housing of the electrical connectors (5, 6).

9 Disconnect remaining electrical connections of front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) IMPORTANT The number of electrical connectors depends on the vehicle equipment.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Pay attention to the installation position; this is indicated by color and mechanical coding.
 
10 Remove front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1)    
11 Install in the reverse order
