	Remove/install
1	Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key (A8/1) or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button (S2/3) from electronic ignition lock control unit (N73)	KEYLESS-GO start/stop button (S2/3) only with code (889) KEYLESS-GO.
2	Open stowage compartment under center armrest	When removing stowage compartment center console socket (X58/37).
3	Open flap (2) of stowage compartment center console socket (X58/37) or luggage compartment socket (X58/4) or front passenger footwell socket (X58/43)	When removing the luggage compartment socket (X58/4), observe the safety notice and information about the sensor system for trunk lid opening/closing.
4	Release stowage compartment center console socket (X58/37) or luggage compartment socket (X58/4) or front passenger footwell socket (X58/43) using pliers (01) and pull out	The lugs of the pliers (01) must engage in the recesses of the housing. Only pull out enough so that the electrical connector (3) is accessible. Pliers	Figure
5	Disconnect electrical connector (3) and remove stowage compartment center console socket (X58/37) or luggage compartment socket (X58/4) or front passenger footwell socket (X58/43)	Make sure that the stowage compartment center console socket (X58/37) and luggage compartment socket (X58/4) and front passenger footwell socket (X58/43) are installed at the correct position.
6	Install in the reverse order
