	Remove/install
1	Remove transmission with torque converter	TRANSMISSION 722.96/97 in MODEL 222 with CODE Z07 (Top protection)	AR27.10-P-0500LHX
		TRANSMISSION 722.9 (except 722.96/97) in MODEL 222 with CODE Z07 (Top protection)	AR27.10-P-0500LF
2	Remove screw/bolts (5)
	Notes on threaded connections with aluminum screws/bolts	Replace screw/bolts (5).	AH00.00-P-0006-01RM
		Standard bolt/hexagon-spacer bolt, shift module (ISM) to transmission housing	*BA27.40-P-1021-01A
3	Remove intelligent servo module for DIRECT SELECT (A80) with vent hose (6)	If the intelligent servo module for DIRECT SELECT (A80) is to be reused, do not detach the vent hose (6). Otherwise, it may lead to leaks and damage on the intelligent servo module for DIRECT SELECT (A80).
4	Replace bleed hose (6) of intelligent servo module for DIRECT SELECT (A80)	When replacing the intelligent servo module for DIRECT SELECT (A80). The positions of the range selector shaft (7) and the intelligent servo module for DIRECT SELECT (A80) must match. If necessary, turn the range selector shaft (7) accordingly. Assembly tool	Figure
5	Rotate the range selector shaft (7) of the transmission (1) counterclockwise up to the end stop at position "D" (arrow)	When replacing the intelligent servo module for DIRECT SELECT (A80). In its as-delivered state, a new intelligent servo module for DIRECT SELECT (A80) is set to position "D" (arrow).
	Check
6	Check sealing ring (8) of range selector shaft (7) for damage and leakages	If leaky or damaged ↓ Replace sealing ring (8)	AR27.40-P-0220A
7	Install in the reverse order
8	Connect diagnostic system, read out fault memory and conduct initial startup of the intelligent servo module for DIRECT SELECT (A80)	After replacing the intelligent servo module for DIRECT SELECT (A80).
