Remove/install trim piece on front of center console - AR68.20-P-2101LF

MODEL 217, 222.0/1/9

REMOVING Remove     
1 Open front stowage compartment cover    
2 Open splash guard cap (4)    
3 Press retaining tabs (34) downward (arrow direction A) and pull trim piece (35) toward rear (arrow direction B) IMPORTANT Pull trim piece (35) toward rear only until it is loose.  
4 Open stowage compartment (36) on instrument panel    
5 Lift trim piece (35) and pull out toward rear    
INSTALLING Install     
6 Open stowage compartment (36) on instrument panel    
7 Lay trim piece (35) down on center console IMPORTANT The distance between the trim piece (35) and the instrument panel is approx. 4 to 5 mm (arrows C).  
8 Close stowage compartment (36) on instrument panel    
9 Push trim piece (35) toward front (arrows E) IMPORTANT Simultaneously press trim piece in center (arrow D) downward.  
10 Close front stowage compartment cover    
INSPECT Check     
11 Trim piece (35) and stowage compartment cover should run parallel
