Open clutch
Two different coupling variants can be installed. These differ in the catch spring (1) guide.
Variant A: Guide of the catch spring (1) outside on the fitting (3) in the plastic console (2).
Variant B: Guide of the catch spring (1) inside in the fitting (3).
- Pull catch spring (1) on both sides out of locking position (a) into opening position (b) until catch spring (1) engages.
Do not deform catch spring (1) permanently.
Correct functioning of the lock can no longer be guaranteed otherwise.
The catch spring (1) of variant A must not project through the opening (c) to the inside.
The lock is not completely released otherwise and can get damaged.
In the case of variant B, do not pull on eyelet (d) of catch spring (1).
The pretensioning of the catch spring (1) can be lost otherwise and correct functioning of the lock is no longer guaranteed.
- Detach charge air hose (4) from connection fitting.
Install new sealing rings (5, 6)
- Remove sealing rings (5, 6) with
assembly tool from the grooves of the charge air hose (4).
- Carefully clean fittings (3) and grooves of charge air hose (4) using clean, lint-free rags.
- Install new sealing ring (5) using
assembly tool in groove of fitting (3) at charge air hose (4).
Pay attention to installation position. Do not install sealing ring (5) twisted. Do not apply any oil, grease or other lubricant.
Otherwise, leakage may occur or the charge air hose (4) may slip from the connection fitting.
The circumferential groove (5a) in the sealing ring (5) must point outward.
- Insert new sealing ring (6) in groove of fitting (3) at charge air hose (4).
Pay attention to installation position. Do not install sealing ring (6) twisted. Do not apply any oil, grease or other lubricant Otherwise, leakage may occur or the charge air hose (4) may slip from the connection fitting.
Close clutch
- Clean connection fittings for charge air hose (4) with clean, lint-free rags.
- Press catch spring (1) on both sides out of the opening position (b) into locking position (a).
The catch spring (1) of variant A must project though the opening (c) into the charge air hose (4).
- Install charge air hose (4) until catch spring (1) engages audibly.
- Check lock of the charge air hose (4) for proper operation by carefully pulling on the charge air hose (4) multiple times.
If the lock is damaged or if the charge air hose (4) can be removed,
↓
replace catch spring (1).
