Attach tester cap (1) to the expansion reservoir.
Attach control unit (2) to
tester cap (1).
Attach Venturi nozzle (3) to
control unit (2).
Close feed valve (4) and
drain valve (5).
Attach feed hose (6) to
coolant reservoir (7).

To prevent air from being drawn in, ensure that the
coolant reservoir (7) contains more coolant than the maximum filling capacity of the engine cooling system.
Connect waste air hose (8) in an empty, suitable container.
- Attach compressed-air hose (9) to
Venturi nozzle (3) and apply compressed air.
Open drain valve (5).
Open feed valve (4) for a short time until the
feed hose (6) has filled with coolant.
A vacuum is created in the engine cooling system.
Close drain valve (5) if display of the
control unit (2) is in the green area.
- Remove compressed-air hose (9) from
Venturi nozzle (3) and observe whether vacuum remains stable for 30 s.
If vacuum does not remain stable for 30 s:

Check hoses and connections, repair affected components and repeat test.
Open feed valve (4).
The engine cooling system is now filled.
Open drain valve (5) as soon as coolant is no longer suctioned.
The remaining existing vacuum will be removed in this way.
Remove control unit (2) along with all the connections and
tester cap (1).
- Correct coolant level on expansion reservoir.
The coolant level must not exceed the MAX marking.
