	Risk of fire  /risk of explosion due to short circuit and escaping oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of (burn) injury caused by caustic burns to eyes, skin and mucous membranes from battery electrolyte/mist, short circuit and arcing. Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing battery electrolyte or absorption of lead through the skin or body orifices. Risk of death  due to voltage U >= 30 V AC and U >= 60 V DC.	No fires, sparks, open flames, or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing, and glasses. Pour battery acid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.	AS54.10-Z-0001-01A

	Remove/install
1	Disconnect ground line (1) of auxiliary battery (G1/1).		AR54.10-S-0004E
2	Remove screws (2) and holder (3).	Model 447.7 with code E28 (Additional battery for retrofitted consumers) Model 447.8 with code E28 (Additional battery for retrofitted consumers) except code XM0 (Facelift) except code XM7 (MOPF II) except code ZK7 (Equipment line MARCO POLO) Model 447 with code EE8 (Battery 12V 100 Ah)
3	Detach vent hose (7) from auxiliary battery (G1/1).	Model 447.7 with code E28 (Additional battery for retrofitted consumers) Model 447.8 with code E28 (Additional battery for retrofitted consumers) except code XM0 (Facelift) except code XM7 (MOPF II) except code ZK7 (Equipment line MARCO POLO) Check that vent hose (7) is correctly seated. Otherwise escaping battery acid mist can cause damage to the vehicle.
4	Place carrier plate (6) to one side so that auxiliary battery (G1/1) can be pulled out of seat box.	Model 447.7/8 with code EE8 (Battery 12V 100 Ah)
5	Pull auxiliary battery (G1/1) out of the seat box until the positive terminal is accessible.
6	Remove positive terminal cover and disconnect positive line on auxiliary battery (G1/1).	Bolt, positive line to positive terminal of on-board electrical system battery/additional battery	*BA54.10-Z-1002-01KOF
7	Remove auxiliary battery (G1/1) from seat box.
8	Install in the reverse order.
