- Mark hole (A) on roof paneling (1).
Observe dimensions (A, B).
- Drill bore (A) in roof paneling (1) using ø 19 mm bit.

- Deburr bore (A) in roof paneling (1) on both sides.
- Remove drilling chips.

Wet and dry vacuum cleaner
- Prepare punching tool for punching antenna hole (B) for satellite radio antenna (2).
Observe operating instructions for punching tool.
This prevents damage to the roof paneling (1).
Use correct size of punching tool.
Otherwise, the satellite radio antenna (2) cannot engage in the antenna hole (B) during installation.

- Position punching tool with die in bore (A) in roof paneling (1) from outside.
Align punching tool with die for antenna hole (B) along center line (arrows E) and parallel to embossings (arrows D) of roof paneling (1).
This ensures the straight installation position of the satellite radio antenna (2).

- Position punch of punching tool on die of punching tool from inside the vehicle.
Aid of helper required.

- Punch antenna hole (B) on roof paneling (1) using punching tool.
Make sure that the punching tool is not tilted.
This prevents damage to the roof paneling (1).

- Deburr cutout on roof paneling (1) in cross-hatched area on both sides.
- Remove shavings.

Wet and dry vacuum cleaner
- Clean roof paneling (1) in cross-hatched area on both sides.
- Apply zinc dust paint to roof paneling (1) in cross-hatched area on both sides.
- Install satellite radio antenna (2) in cutout in roof paneling (1).
The retaining brackets (arrows C) of the satellite radio antenna (2) must engage in the roof paneling (1).
Otherwise, the satellite radio antenna (2) may detach from the roof paneling (1).
- Apply adhesive material (4) to antenna cover (3).
Install antenna cover (3) on roof paneling (1) within 5 min after applying adhesive material (4).
Otherwise, the adhesion of the adhesive material (4) will be impaired.
Observe preliminary treatment of bonding surface. Observe manufacturer's specifications for curing and processing time of 1-component adhesive.
Commercially available devices/tools
Electric or pneumatic squeeze gun
- Position antenna cover (3) on satellite radio antenna (2) and attach to roof paneling (1).
Make absolutely sure that the installation position of the antenna cover (3) is correct when affixing it.
Once the antenna cover (3) has been stuck on, it can no longer be moved.
Align antenna cover (3) parallel to embossings of roof paneling (1).
