1. Apply sealant to inner B-pillar (2) (area A).

   Only when replacing right side of vehicle.

2. Install B-pillar outer section (1) and fit.
3. Model 447, 448.8 with code CN1 (Exterior rocker panel)

   Install mounting rail (4) on longitudinal member panel, for this purpose fasten mounting rail (4) with screws (5).

4. Fix B-pillar outer section (1) in place with side portal frame and straightening tool.

5. Model 447, 448.8 with code CN1 (Exterior rocker panel)

   Tack weld B-pillar outer section (1) (area Q).

6. Model 447, 448.8 with code CN1 (Exterior rocker panel)

   Remove mounting rail (4) on longitudinal member panel.

7. B-pillar outer section (1) (areas L to N).
8. B-pillar outer section (1) (areas O and P).

   Inert gas weld in intervals and allow to cool down in between. Reduces heat distortion.

9. Grind shielding gas welds down flat (areas O and P).
10. Clean weld joints.
11. Restore surfaces on B-pillar outer section (1) and smooth.
12. Remove shavings and drill chips.

    Position mounting rail (4) and align.

    Transfer holes of mounting rail (4) to body.

    Then remove mounting rail (4).

    Drill and center punch holes (arrows).

Deburr holes and remove drill chips.
