Model 447, 448 

1. Scribe separating points and cut (areas A to C).

   Do not make the cuts too deep. Otherwise the components below can be damaged and weakened.

   Mark separating on A-pillar outer section (1) according to degree of damage (area A).

   Model 447.8 with code PS2 (AMG line)

   Model 448.8 with code CN1 (Exterior rocker panel)

   Ensure sufficient distance to mounting points of mounting rail on longitudinal member panel when determining separation line in area A.

2. Expose spot welds on A-pillar outer section (1) and cut out (area D).

3. Expose spot welds on A-pillar outer section (1) and cut out (areas E, J and J₁ ).
4. Mark separating point and cut (areas K and L).
5. Heat A-pillar outer section (1) in crosshatched area.

   Cross-hatched area is bonded.

6. Remove damaged A-pillar outer section (1).
