  1. Mark separating points on the sidewall paneling (1) (areas A to C).
  2. Cut separating points on the sidewall paneling (1) (areas A to C).

    NOTES Do not make the cuts too deep.

    Otherwise the components below can be damaged and weakened.

  3. Expose spot welds on the sidewall paneling (1) (areas D to F).
  4. Cut out spot welds on the sidewall paneling (1) (areas D to F).
  5. Expose spot weld (area G).
  6. Drill out spot weld (area G).

  7. Expose spot welds on sidewall paneling (1) (areas H to J).
  8. Cut out spot welds on sidewall paneling (1) (areas H to J).

    IMPORTANT Cut out spot welds (arrows) through two panel thicknesses.

  9. Expose laser weld seams on the sidewall paneling (1) (areas K and L).
  10. Cut laser weld seams on the sidewall paneling (1) (areas K and L).
  11. Heat up sidewall paneling (1) in the cross-hatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Cross-hatched areas are bonded with adhesive.

  12. Remove damaged side wall paneling (1).

  13. Mark separating points for the offset flange (areas M and N).
  14. Cut separating points for offset flange (areas M and N).
  15. Crimp connecting flange toward inside (area O).
  16. Grind mating surface around hole (area P) down to bare metal.
  17. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in the cross-hatched areas and around the holes (areas Q and R).

    IMPORTANT Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

  18. Remove shavings and drill chips.
  19. Apply zinc dust paint to insides of spot weld flanges.
