- Apply 2-component adhesive to the body (area A1
).
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces (area A1 ). Refer to the manufacturer's information for the curing and working times of 2-component adhesive.
- Install wheel well paneling front section (1) and front top longitudinal member (2), fit, and fix in place with welding fixture.

Use welding fixture 447 589 03 23 00.

Use welding fixture 447 589 02 23 00.
- Wheel well paneling front section (1)
(areas A and B).
- Remove top front longitudinal member (2) and remove respective
welding fixture.
- Wheel well paneling front section (1)
(areas C to G).
- Wheel well paneling front section (1)
(area H).
Inert gas weld in intervals and allow to cool down in between. Heat distortion is reduced as a result.
- Grind shielding gas weld and insert gas spot welds down flat.
- Clean weld joints.
- Remove shavings and drill chips.
- Apply zinc dust paint to weld joints (areas D to H).
