	Check
1	Check whether vehicle is affected by measure.	For authorized Mercedes-Benz service partners, only the entry in the Extended VEGA Application (EVA) edition, in the "Current" tab is decisive. There is no need to also check the affected vehicles in the workshop information system (WIS) or vehicle list.
	Remove
2	Release parking brake.
3	Raise vehicle.
			AR00.60-S-1000E
4	Remove adjusting nut (1).	The adjusting nut (1) is not used again and can be disposed of in a proper manner.
	Install
5	Attach new adjusting nut (1).	The new adjusting nut (1) on the cable slack adjuster for the parking brake is self-locking and therefore it does not require an additional jam nut.
	Adjust
6	Adjust rear brake cables.
