	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A

	Remove/install
1.1	Connect diagnostic system and move parking brake into assembly position.	Model 447, 448 with code B25 (Electric parking brake) except code XM7 (MOPF II)
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory	To do so, follow the procedure in the "Electric parking brake (EFB) control unit" menu. Remove diagnostic system.	AD00.00-S-2000-04E
1.2	Activate brake lining change mode.	Model 447 with engine 254, 654 with code B25 (Electric parking brake) with code XM7 (MOPF II) Model 448 with engine 254 with code B25 (Electric parking brake) with code XM7 (MOPF II)	AR42.10-S-1710-01E
2	Remove respective rear wheel.		AR40.10-S-1100E
3	Remove respective brake linings on rear axle.	If brake disks (5) are replaced, ↓ replace brake linings.	AR42.10-S-1710E
4	Remove screws (1).	Screw, rear floating caliper carrier to semi-trailing arm	*BA42.10-Z-1003-12KOJ
5	Remove brake caliper support (3) with brake caliper (2) and tie up.	Do not release brake hose.
6	Turn back adjustment wheel (6) of parking brake.	Model 447, 448 except code XM7 (MOPF II) Model 447 with code XM7 (MOPF II) except code B25 (Electric parking brake) Do not turn adjustment wheel (6) back to its original position. If necessary, ↓ turn brake disk (5) slightly for better accessibility.
7	Remove screw (4).	Replace screw (4). Screw/bolt, brake disk to wheel hub	*BA42.10-Z-1001-13KOE
8	Remove brake disk (5).	If brake disk (5) is blocked ↓ release brake disk (5) by applying light hammer blows to it.
	Clean
9	Clean brake surfaces and contact surfaces of brake disk (5).	Assembly cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1028-04A
10	Clean flange of wheel hub.
11	Apply light coating of grease to contact surface for centering brake disk (5) on wheel hub.	Long-life grease	*BR00.45-Z-1001-06A
	Check
12	Check condition of brake disk (5).

	Inspect condition of brake disks	If corresponding findings are present, ↓ replace brake disk (5). Always replace brake disks (5) in pairs.	AP42.10-S-4258E
13	Check condition of brake shoes on parking brake. 14	Install in the reverse order

16	Perform brake test on test stand.
