Remove/Install Mounting Rail For Pop-Up Roof Carrier System - AR77.70-S-0005E

	Remove
1	Remove pop-up roof (2).	Model 447.7/8 with code ZK9 (Lifting roof hatch)	AR77.70-S-0001E

2	Remove all screws (5).
3	Cover adjacent area of mounting rail (1) on pop-up roof (2) with suitable tape strip.
4	Cut through adhesive seam (3) with commercially available cutting wire and remove mounting rail (1).	Cut through adhesive seam (3) carefully. Otherwise the components can be damaged. Helper required. Wear cut-proof gloves and safety glasses when cutting through. The mounting rail (1) cannot be removed without damage and must therefore be replaced.
	Clean
5	Remove residual adhesive material from pop-up roof (2).	Cut residual adhesive down to approx. 1 mm and remove loose adhesive material
6	Suction off and remove soiling in the area of the bonding surface on the pop-up roof (2).	The bonding surface on the pop-up roof (2) must be absolutely dry and free of dust and grease. Otherwise, sufficient adhesion of the mounting rail (1) is not ensured. Commercially available devices/tools  Wet and dry vacuum cleaner Cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1025-04A
	Install
7	Apply activator to the bonding surface of the mounting rail (1) on the pop-up roof (2).	Sika activator	*BR00.45-Z-1023-04A
8	Apply activator to bonding surface of new mounting rail (1).	Use a new mounting rail (1). Sika activator	*BR00.45-Z-1023-04A
9	Place a butyl cord (4) on the bolt head underside of the new screws 5 in a ring-shaped and gap-free manner.	The screws (5) must be absolutely dry and free of dust and grease. Otherwise the leak tightness of screws (5) is not ensured. Use new bolts (5). Butyl cord Terostat 81 Ø 6 mm	*BR00.45-Z-1085-01A
10	Apply adhesive seam (3) to pop-up roof in area of mounting rail (1).	Apply an adhesive seam (3) around all bores (arrow A) on pop-up roof (2). Adhesive sealant Sikaflex-252, black, cartridge 310 ml	*BR00.45-Z-1127-02A
11	With a helper, position mounting rail (1) on the pop-up roof (2) and press on.	Install mounting rail (1) immediately after applying adhesive. Otherwise adhesion problems can occur. To position the mounting rail (1), position screws (5) through the aligning bores (arrows A, B). During installation of the pop-up roof (2), the screws (5) are tightened with components (e.g. the pop-up brackets).
12	Install pop-up roof (2).	Model 447.7/8 with code ZK9 (Lifting roof hatch)	AR77.70-S-0001E
		Model 447.8 with code ZK0 (EASY UP pop-up roof, electric) Do not install pop-up roof (2) until after the adhesive curing time has elapsed. The adhesive curing time is at least 2 h. Otherwise adhesion problems can occur.	AR77.75-S-0011E
	Clean
13	Remove the tape strips and clean the entire working area.	Cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1025-04A
