- Open pop-up roof.
- Detach base plate (8) on right side of vehicle.
- Move base plate (8) until tab lock (10) overlaps on gas-filled strut (9) approx. one-third as shown.
- Detach base plate (8) on right side of vehicle

- Detach base plate (8) on left side of vehicle.
- Move base plate (8) until base plate (8) on the left side of vehicle has the same position as on the right side of vehicle.
- Fasten base plate (8) on left side of vehicle
- Close pop-up roof.
