Remove/Install Vacuum Pump - AR43.05-P-1320CDA

MODEL 166 with ENGINE 651

  Risk of injury.  Moving parts can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases even sever extremities. No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area of mechanical components when moving components. AS00.00-Z-0009-01A
  Risk of injury.  Skin or eye injuries may result when handling hot or glowing objects. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary. AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
  Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Open engine hood and raise to vertical position   AR88.40-P-1000GQ
2 Remove upper engine cover    
3 Disconnect intermediate pipe (7) from fitting (8)    
4 Remove bolt (6) from intermediate pipe (7)    
5.1 Remove center underfloor paneling Model 166.006 with engine 651
 INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Install center underfloor paneling only after engine test run and leak test.

5.2 Remove underfloor panels Model 166.003/004 with engine 651
 INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Install underfloor paneling only after engine test run and leak test.

6 Remove left engine mount and slacken off right engine mount Model 166.003/004 with engine 651 AR22.10-P-1260GQA
7 Unlock vacuum line (1) and pull off vacuum pump (3)    
8 Remove bolts (2) of vacuum pump (3) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, vacuum pump to crankcase or oil pump *BA43.05-P-1001-01J 
9 Remove vacuum pump (3) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Fit vacuum pump (3) on shaft of oil pump (4).
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Replace seal (5).
 
10 Install in the reverse order    
11 REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS Clear fault memory using the diagnostic system   AD00.00-P-2000-04A
INSPECT Check     
12 Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.
Perform engine test run, check engine and brake system for leaktightness and proper operation
Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
