Stationary charging of the battery ensures the battery has a sufficient battery capacity before starting a journey.
Charging types
12 V on-board electrical system battery
The 12 V on-board electrical system battery can be charged with an external 12 V charger.
48 V on-board electrical system battery (vehicles with 48 V technology)
The 48 V on-board electrical system battery can be charged from the 12 V on-board electrical system using an external 12 V charger (energy transfer).
High-voltage battery (hybrid vehicles)
The high-voltage battery can be charged in various ways depending on the vehicle equipment involved:
- From the 12 V on-board electrical system using an external 12 V charger (energy transfer)
- With the on-board charger using a service line or a charging station
- Inductively (non-contact) (hybrid vehicles with inductive charging system)
