2	Check visible components, lines and hoses on underfloor for damage, routing and leakage	Steering, Spring elements, Shock absorber, Boots of front axle shaft (only with 4MATIC), Rear axle shaft boots, Underfloor paneling, Heat shields, Exhaust system, Brake system, Fuel system, Manual transmission, Automatic transmission, Transfer case, Rear axle differential. If there are problems: ↓ Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
3	Check visible components and body panels for corrosion	Wheel well body panels Front axle carrier, Rear axle carrier, Chassis steering arms, Underfloor body panels, Body reinforcements. If corrosion is detected: ↓ proceed in accordance with the country-specific regulations for mobility and body shell complaints.
4	Check vehicle underside for evidence of driving over obstacles or damage caused by contact with the vehicle underside	If driving over obstacles or damage caused by contact with the vehicle underside is suspected: ↓ Check steering for mechanical damages. If the steering shows signs of mechanical damage: ↓ Subject to separate repair order, replace steering for safety reasons.
