	Remove/install
1	Secure exhaust system in the center (9) against falling down
2	Unfasten mounting clamp (10, 11) of the connecting point for the exhaust system in the center (9) and rear muffler (12) and remove rear muffler (12)	Engine 278 in model 166, 292 Aid of helper required Bolt/nut, mount for rear exhaust system bracket	*BA49.10-P-1018-01AK
3	Detach decoupling elements (13) from the exhaust system in the center (9)
4	Detach decoupling elements (13) from rear muffler (12)	Engine 157, 276 in model 166, 292
5.1	Unfasten mounting clamp (7, 8) of the connecting point for the catalytic converters (5, 6) and remove exhaust system in the center (9)	Engine 278 in model 166, 292 Aid of helper required	AR49.10-P-5500MLJ

5.2	Unfasten mounting clamp (7, 8) of the connecting point for the catalytic converters (5, 6) and remove exhaust system in the center (9) with rear muffler (12)	Engine 157 in model 166, 292 The rear muffler (12) and the exhaust system in the center (9) form a unit.	AR49.10-P-5500MLJ

	Clean
6	Remove combustion and corrosion residue at separating points
	Check
7	Check decoupling elements (13)	Check for wear and damage, and replace if necessary.
8	Install in the reverse order
	Check
9	Check installation position and unobstructed movement of all components of the exhaust system
10	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
10	Perform an engine test run and check exhaust system for leaktightness
