	Preparatory tasks
1	Switch electronic ignition lock control unit to position "2" (circuit 15)	Close the engine hood, the liftgate and all doors.
2	Operate parking brake
	Check
3	Check warning lamps (9, 11, 12, 13, 15, 17, 20) and indicator lamps (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 14, 16) for proper operation	If there are problems: ↓ Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
4	Manually switch on low beams	The low beams indicator lamp (4) must light up and a lamp failure message must not be displayed in the multifunction display (21). If there are problems: ↓ Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
5	Switch on high beam	The high beams indicator lamp (3) must light up and a lamp failure message must not be displayed in the multifunction display (21). If there are problems: ↓ Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
6	Switch on rear fog lamp	The rear fog light indicator lamp (5) must light up and a lamp failure message must not be displayed in the multifunction display (21). If there are problems: ↓ Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
7	Engage reverse gear and press service brake	There must be no lamp failure message in the multifunction display (21) If there are problems: ↓ Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
8	Switch on hazard warning system The left and right turn signal light indicator lamps (1, 2) flash in unison in the multifunction display. If there are problems: ↓ Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
9	Switch off hazard warning system

10	Switch electronic ignition lock control unit to position "0"
