Separate Outer Side Wall - AR63.10-P-0805-01GQC

The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be accomplished analogously on the right side in the event of damage.
- Mark separating points on outer side wall (1) and cut (areas A and B).
Do not make the cuts too deep.
Otherwise the components below can be damaged and weakened.
- Expose spot welds on outer side wall (1) and cut (areas C, D, E, F and G).
- Expose spot welds on outer side wall (1) and cut area H).
- Expose MIG solder seams on outer side wall (1) and cut (area I).
- Heat outer side wall (1) in crosshatched areas.
Cross-hatched areas are bonded.
- Remove damaged outer side wall (1).
- Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in the cross-hatched inner C-pillar sidewall.
Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.
- Remove shavings and drill chips.
- Coat insides of spot welding flanges with zinc dust paint.
Do not apply zinc dust paint to bonding surfaces.
Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.
