Location
The right front door control unit is located on the door module behind the door lining.
Task
The right front door control unit has the following tasks:
- Reading in of signals
- Evaluation of input factors
- Actuation of components
- Transmitting signals
Reading in of signals
The input factors are read in via the following connections:
- Direct line
- Right front door LIN (LIN B6)
- Interior CAN (CAN B)
Direct line
The signals from the following components are read via direct lines:
- Driver door infrared remote control receiver (A26/1) (right-hand drive vehicle)
- Right front door lock (A85/1):
- Right front door precatch microswitch (A85/1s1) (with CODE 883 (Power closing))
- Right front door main catch microswitch (A85/1s2)
- Right front inside door handle microswitch (A85/1s3) (with CODE 883 (Power closing))
- Right front door external operation microswitch (A85/1s4) (with CODE 883 (Power closing))
- Hall sensor in right front door power window motor (M10/4)
- Right front door power closing actuator motor microswitch (M14/22s1) (with CODE 883 (Power closing))

- Right front door central locking interior switch (S85/6):
- Open central locking switch (S85/6s1)
- Close central locking switch (S85/6s2)
Right front door LIN
The signals for the following components are read in by the right front door LIN:
- Right front seat adjustment switch group (S23) (with CODE P64 (Memory package)):
- Right front head restraint adjustment switch (S23s1)
- Right front seat inclination adjustment switch (S23s2)
- Right front seat fore/aft adjustment switch (S23s3)
- Right front seat height adjustment switch (S23s4)
- Right front backrest adjustment switch (S23s5)
- Right front memory function switch (S23s6)
- Right front memory 1 switch (S23s7)
- Right front memory 2 switch (S23s8)
- Right front memory 3 switch (S23s9)
The right front door control unit supplies the connected control elements with c. 58d.
Interior CAN
The right front door control unit reads in the following signals via the interior CAN
- Terminal status of terminal 15
- CL locking unlocking/locking request
- PRE-SAFE® adjustment request
- Request to move to memory position (with CODE P64 (Memory package))
- Convenience feature request
- Crash signal
The functions that use these signals are described in the individual function descriptions (see appropriate block diagram or function schematic).
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the relevant components are then actuated.
Actuation of components
The front door control unit actuates the following components over direct lines:
- Right front door lock:
- Right front door central locking motor (A85/1m1)
- Right front door additional door lock actuator motor (A85/1m4) (with code (885) Increased theft protection)
- Right outside mirror turn signal lamp (E6/6)
- Right front door exit and warning lamp (E17/4)
- Right front door handle illumination (E1712)
- Right front door ambiance illumination (E17/44) (with CODE 876 (Interior lights package))
- Right front door power window motor
- Right front door power closing actuator motor (M14/22) (with CODE 883 (Power closing))
- Right outside mirror:
- Right outside mirror ambient lamp (M21/2e1)
- Readiness/warning indicator for left Blind Spot Assist (M21/2e2) (with code (234) Blind Spot Assist or code (237) Active Blind Spot Assist)
