Adjust Front Panoramic Glass Roof - AR77.21-P-0501GQC

  Risk of injury  caused by fingers being jammed or pinched when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof. No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area when the components are moving. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
INSPECT Check     
1 Completely close panoramic sliding roof (1)    
2 Check front height offset (a) from front glass cover (2) to panoramic sliding roof (1) IMPORTANT The rear edge of the front glass cover (2) must be flush or not higher than max. 2 mm than the panoramic sliding roof (1).
The dimension of the front height offset (a) should be equal over the entire width of the panoramic sliding roof (1).
 
3 Check rear height offset (b) from panoramic sliding roof (1) to rear roof paneling (5) IMPORTANT The rear edge of the closed panoramic sliding roof (1) must be flush or not higher than max. 2 mm than the rear roof paneling (5).
The dimension of the rear height offset (a) should be equal over the entire width of the panoramic sliding roof (1).
 
  Adjust     
4 Measure deviation of front height offset (a) to nominal dimension and note If front height offset (a) does not correspond to nominal dimension.  
5 Completely open panorama sliding roof (1) If front height offset (a) does not correspond to nominal dimension.  
6 Loosen bolts (3, 4) If front height offset (a) does not correspond to nominal dimension.  
7 Adjust front height offset (a) on panoramic sliding roof (1) according to deviation noted If front height offset (a) does not correspond to nominal dimension.  
8 Tighten bolts (3, 4) If front height offset (a) did not correspond to nominal dimension.  
9 Completely close panoramic sliding roof (1) If front height offset (a) did not correspond to nominal dimension.  
10 Measure deviation of rear height offset (b) to nominal dimension and note If rear height offset (b) does not correspond to nominal dimension.  
11 Move panorama sliding roof (1) to tilt position If rear height offset (b) does not correspond to nominal dimension.  
12 Adjust rear height offset (b) by uniformly turning adjustment screw (6) on left and right side of panoramic sliding roof (1) according to deviation noted If rear height offset (b) does not correspond to nominal dimension.  
13 Completely close panoramic sliding roof (1)    
INSPECT Check     
14 Check front height offset (a) from front glass cover (2) to panoramic sliding roof (1) IMPORTANT The rear edge of the front glass cover (2) must be flush or not higher than max. 2 mm than the panoramic sliding roof (1).
The dimension of the front height offset (a) should be equal over the entire width of the panoramic sliding roof (1).
If front height offset (a) does not correspond to nominal dimension

Continue with operation step 4
 
15 Check rear height offset (b) from panoramic sliding roof (1) to rear roof paneling (5) IMPORTANT The rear edge of the closed panoramic sliding roof (1) must be flush or not higher than max. 2 mm than the rear roof paneling (5).
The dimension of the rear height offset (a) should be equal over the entire width of the panoramic sliding roof (1).
If rear height offset (b) does not correspond to nominal dimension

Continue with operation step 10
 
  Initial startup     
16 REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS Normalize panoramic sliding roof (1) with diagnostic system and perform teach-in run for automatic reversing function   AD00.00-P-2000-04A
