	Remove/install
1	Detach rear complete wheel	Model 292 with code 489 (AIRMATIC)	AR40.10-P-1100GQC
		Model 166 with code 489 (AIRMATIC	AP40.10-P-4050EW
2	Connect diagnostic system and empty AIRmatic as per specifications	The complete wheels must not touch the ground. Otherwise the air springs (2) may be predamaged and subsequently malfunction.	AD00.00-P-2000-04A
3	Detach pressure line (1) from air spring (2)	Air suspension pressure line to rear air spring	*BA32.22-P-1001-03B

4	Seal pressure line (1) and connection for air spring (2) using stop plugs	Record plug	Figure
5	Check pressure line (1) and pressure line connections for damage
6	Repair AIRmatic pressure line connection	If damaged.	AR32.22-P-2001-02GZ
7	Detach air spring (2) on upper frame from retaining clip (3)	The air suspension bellows may not be pulled and the air spring (2) may not be twisted. Otherwise, the air springs (2) may be damaged.
8	Remove air spring (2) upwards, by pushing the air spring (2) out of the lower cross member and compressing upwards	Check cover (24b) and cover (2a) are correctly seated. The molding of the air spring (2) must be aligned with the notch in the lower control arm (arrow).
9	Remove retaining clip (3)	The remainder of the retaining clip (3) must be removed from the air spring (2) and frame floor assembly. The retaining clip (3) must be removed.
10	Install in the reverse order
