Location
The level sensors are installed on the respective wheel suspension and are connected to the transverse control arms via a shift rail.
Task
The level sensors generate voltage signals which change in proportion to the vehicle level. The signals are used as follows:
- Computation of the vehicle level to control the automatic headlamp range control (HRA)
- Detection of the current damper position
- Adjustment of the loading changes and damper speed
