Location 

The electronic differential control unit is installed on the right in the bottom of the trunk.

Task 

The electronic differential control unit actuates the multidisk clutch of the differential lock via the differential lock actuator (M46/3).

Coding 

The electronic differential control unit is codable and flashable, i.e. the complete software in the control unit can be updated.

CAN network 

The electronic differential control unit is connected to the CAN network of the vehicle via the AMG CAN (CAN AMG) and exchanges data with other control units.

The following input signals are evaluated by the electronic differential control unit and the corresponding output signals issued:
