Remove Sealant - AR01.00-P-0050-01A

Engine all (4xWD, CAR, Heavy transporter, Light transporter, smart)

  1. Wipe operating fluids and other soiling from sealing surfaces with a lint-free dry cloth.
  2. Spray Loctite 7200 onto the sealing surfaces and leave for approx. 10 to 20 minutes.

    IMPORTANT Observe processing information from manufacturer.

  3. Remove dissolved silicone sealant from the sealing surfaces and wipe with a lint-free dry cloth.

    IMPORTANT Do not use sharp-edged tools or abrasive paper that would damage the sealing surfaces.

    The sealing surfaces must feel even after treatment.

    The sealing surfaces do not have to be metallically bright; thin layers of firmly adhering silicone sealant may remain (see picture).

  4. The sealing surfaces must be cleaned thoroughly with Loctite 7063 cleaning spray and blown off with compressed air.

    NOTES Allow Loctite 7063 cleaning spray to flash off completely before applying new silicone sealant.

    Leaks can occur otherwise.
