	Remove/install
1	Remove dashboard	Model 205 Model 253 Model 293
		Model 205 Model 253	See AR68.10-P-1000LW .
2	Disconnect electrical connector of air outlet temperature sensor of side air vent from air duct LH (2) and air duct RH (3)
3	Remove left air duct (2) and right air duct (3)
4	Detach center air duct (4) from retaining clip (5) and remove in downward direction (arrows A)	Mounting wedge	See Fig 3.
5	Remove electrical wiring harness from crossmember (1)	Pay attention to installation position.
		Clip remover	See Fig 4.
6	Remove screws (8a, 8b, 8c, 8d) from crossmember (1) and carefully set down steering column tube (6)
	Notes on threaded connections with aluminum screws/bolts		See AH00.00-P-0006-01RM .
	Notes on threaded connections fastened using a tightening angle-based tightening process		See AH00.00-P-0020-01A .
		: Replace screw/bolts (8a, 8b, 8c, 8d). Position bolts (8a, 8b, 8c, 8d) lightly by hand first and then tighten them in the give sequence
		Bolt, steering column tube to crossmember under instrument panel	See *BA46.10-P-1001-03S .
7	Remove center aid ducts (11)
8	Mark installation position of crossmember (1) in relation to A-pillars (arrows)
9	Remove windshield wiper system	Model 253 Model 293
		Model 253, 293	See AR82.30-P-6400LW .
10	Remove screw/bolts (12)	Model 253 Model 293 Only one screw (12) is installed.
		Screw/bolt, crossmember to firewall below windshield	See *BA68.10-P-1002-02F .
11	Remove bolts (13)
12	Unscrew screw (15)	Screw/bolt, crossmember strut to side of transmission tunnel	See *BA68.10-P-1004-02F .
13	Remove bolts (14)	: Loosely screw in bolts (14), align crossmember (1) in relation to markings on A-pillars and tighten bolts (14).
		Screw/bolt, crossmember to A-pillar	See *BA68.10-P-1001-02F .
14	Remove crossmember (1) from vehicle on driver side	Guide crossmember (1) towards driver's side out of electrical wiring harness. Helper required.
15	Install in the reverse order
