	Remove
1	Remove inner door sills at front and rear entrances
			AR68.30-P-4100GQ
2	Remove edge guard (1) in area of outer door sills at front entrances
3	Remove outer door sills at front entrances
			AR88.80-P-1001GQ
		The outer door sills are no longer required.
4	Remove right side of panel in trunk
			AR68.30-P-4800GQX
5	Fold second seat row forward
6	Remove rear control unit
			AR54.21-P-2009GQA
		Check in the EPC whether the rear control unit installed according to the vehicle equipment can be used for retrofitting the illuminated door sill moldings. If necessary, the rear control unit is to be removed and replaced with one that is compatible with the illuminated door sill moldings. If replacement of the rear control unit is not necessary, just expose this until the electrical connectors are accessible.

7	Retrofit left front illuminated door sill molding (E17/47) and right front illuminated door sill molding (E17/48)		AN82.20-P-0001-04GQ

8	Retrofit wiring harness for left front illuminated door sill molding (E17/47) and right front illuminated door sill molding (E17/48)		AN82.20-P-0001-03GQX

9	Install remaining parts
10	Enter special equipment in online vehicle data card via vehicle documentation system (VeDoc)	CODE 876 (Ambiance illumination)
11	Document retrofitted equipment through VeDoc	Attach note "Illuminated door sill moldings retrofitted as per AN82.20-P-0001GQX " under field organization texts to design group 82.
12	Connect Star Diagnosis and select vehicle via the vehicle identification number (VIN)
			AD00.00-P-2000-04A
13	Perform variant coding with XENTRY using the software calibration number (SCN)
14	Disconnect STAR DIAGNOSIS
			AD00.00-P-2000-04A
	Check
15	Check function of left front illuminated door sill molding (E17/47) and right front illuminated door sill molding (E17/48)	By opening the front doors, the left front illuminated door sill molding (E17/47) and the right front illuminated door sill molding (E17/48) are activated.
16	Remove protective foil at left front illuminated door sill molding (E17/47) and right front illuminated door sill molding (E17/48)
