Remove And Install DC/AC Converter Control Unit - AR54.21-P-1600GQ

MODEL 166 with CODE U80 (115 V socket in load compartment)

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of death  from touching live components with AC voltages over 30 V Do not touch live parts. Persons who have electronic implants (e.g. cardiac pacemakers) must not perform any work on components conducting AC voltage greater than 30 V. AS54.00-Z-0001-05A
1 Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button from electronic ignition lock control unit IMPORTANT KEYLESS-GO start/stop button only present on vehicles with CODE 889 (Keyless-Go).  
2 Remove rear seat backrest MODEL 166.0
with CODE U80 (115 V socket in load compartment) 60% rear seat
AR91.12-P-1620GQ
3 Remove rear seat cushion MODEL 166.0
with CODE U80 (115 V socket in load compartment) 60 % rear seat cushion
AR91.12-P-1020GQ
4 Remove rear door sill molding   AR68.30-P-4100GQ

Driver side
 
5 Lift floor covering MODEL 166.8
with CODE U80 (115 V socket in load compartment)
AR68.20-P-4800GQX
MODEL 166.0

IMPORTANT MODEL 166.8

Raise the lower floor covering.

6 Detach electrical connection from DC/AC converter control unit (N24/3)    
NOTES Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge   AH54.00-P-0001-01A
7.1 Remove screws MODEL 166.0
with CODE U80 (115 V socket in load compartment)
 
7.2 Unscrew the nuts MODEL 166.8
with CODE U80 (115 V socket in load compartment)
 
8 Remove DC/AC converter control unit (N24/3)    
9 Install in the reverse order
