	Attach, remove
1.1	Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key from electronic ignition lock control unit	MODEL 166, 212, 218 except CODE 889 (KEYLESS-GO)
1.2	Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button from electronic ignition lock control unit	MODEL 166, 212, 218 with CODE 889 (KEYLESS-GO)
2	Open engine hood and raise to vertical position	MODEL 166, 212, 218

7	Remove air intake box

9	Mount adaptation plates to engine hoist (01)	The spring tower support of the engine hoist (01) cannot be used.

10	Unclip expansion reservoir for ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM and place to one side	MODEL 166 with ENGINE 157, 276, 278, 642, 651 with CODE 468 (ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM)
11	Adjust threaded rods of engine hoist (01) to match longitudinal members	MODEL 166 Make sure that the threaded rods are positioned on the longitudinal members.

12	Position loosely preassembled engine hoist (01) with the aid of a helper onto the suspension strut tower and slip into threaded rods	Position the engine hoist (01) carefully. Adjacent components and painted surfaces could be damaged otherwise. Observe the manufacturer's assembly specifications and safety information.

16	Align engine hoist (01) and tighten bolted connections
17	Tighten lifting gear (3) using rigging screw (4)	Where several lifting gear devices (3) are used they must be uniformly aligned.
18	Detach in the reverse order
