MODEL 463 as of model year 2013/model refinement package 2012

  Correct oil level
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by welding or soldering work on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by contact with liquid refrigerants. Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been emptied. AS83.00-Z-0001-01A

IMPORTANT Notes on handling R134a refrigerant Air conditioning with refrigerant R134a AH83.30-N-0003-01A
IMPORTANT Perform work rapidly, since compressor oil is hygroscopic.
IMPORTANT Repair work for defective refrigerant circuit   AH83.30-P-1782-01A
1 Drain new refrigerant compressor IMPORTANT Drain compressor oil through the openings for low pressure and high-pressure lines.
2 Drain removed refrigerant compressor IMPORTANT Use suitable measuring cup.
INSPECT Checking
3 Check condition of compressor oil IMPORTANT Check compressor oil for signs of contamination (color dark gray - black).
MEASURING Measure
4 Measure quantity of compressor oil drained from removed refrigerant compressor
  Fill
5 Fill new refrigerant compressor IMPORTANT Pour the quantity of compressor oil drained from the removed refrigerant compressor plus an additional 20 cm3 into the new refrigerant compressor. Always use new compressor oil.
