1 Remove front left wheel   AP40.10-P-4050G
2 Clean area surrounding cap on brake fluid expansion reservoir
3 Unscrew cap from brake fluid expansion reservoir
4 Connect brake fluid changer to brake fluid expansion reservoir IMPORTANT Pay attention to manufacturer's operating instructions.
5 Remove bleed screw from front left brake caliper and connect pressure tester (051) NOTES Do not use pressure testers for hydraulic oil systems on systems with brake fluid. Otherwise the brake fluid may be mixed up with mineral oil and this can lead to brake system malfunctions

IMPORTANT Pay attention to manufacturer's operating instructions.
6 Bleed pressure tester (051)
  High-pressure test
DANGER Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

9 Read off and note brake pressure on high-pressure gauge of pressure tester (051)
10 Read off and note brake pressure again after 5 minutes on the high-pressure gauge of the pressure tester (051) IMPORTANT During the 5 min. duration of the test, the brake pressure may not drop more than 5 %.
  Low-pressure testing
11 Switch off engine and operate brake pedal several times until vacuum is reduced
12 Turn back brake pedal winch (080) until a line pressure of approx. 3 bar overpressure is indicated on the pressure gauge
13 Read off and note the brake pressure after 2 minutes on the low pressure gauge of the pressure tester (051) IMPORTANT The brake pressure must not drop during the 2 min. duration of the test.
14 Remove brake pedal jack (080)
15 Remove pressure tester (051) and screw in bleed screw on front left brake caliper TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA42.10-P-1001-02B
