  3. Insert new adjusting shims (2c) as determined to adjust camber and caster.

IMPORTANT Only one adjusting shim (2c) is installed for caster adjustment on transverse control arm (1). The notch (arrow) must always point outwards toward the wheel.

IMPORTANT Clean surfaces of adjusting shims (2c) before installation.

Adjust camber and caster on front axle

IMPORTANT If there are no suitable adjusting shims for the required adjustment, the chassis is outside the tolerance and cannot be adjusted. Examine suspension, chassis and load-bearing body panels for damage.

IMPORTANT Make sure that the adjusting shims (2c) are inserted all the way into the corresponding lower transverse control arm mount. Do not tighten nut (2d) yet so that the elastomer bearings of the lower transverse control arm (1) turn when the vehicle is rocked to settle the suspension.

  4. Install new bolt (2a), new nut (2d) and new washers (2b).
