	Remove
1	Raise vehicle using vehicle lift until wheel and tire assemblies can turn freely.		AR00.60-P-1006A
2	Release parking brake.
3	Fully lift vehicle using vehicle lift.		AR00.60-P-1006A
4	Release and disconnect electrical connector from rear axle differential lock actuator (M46/8).
5	Remove bolts (1).
6	Remove rear axle differential lock actuator (M46/8).
7	Remove seal.
	Install
8	Install seal.	Replace seal.
9	Turn rear wheel and tire assembly and simultaneously insert inter wheel differential lock (2) on rear axle manually in direction of arrow (arrow A) using a suitable tool.	If rear axle differential lock actuator (M46/8) is replaced.
		The new rear axle differential lock actuator (M46/8) is supplied in the "Inter wheel differential lock engaged" position (see Fig 2).
10	Install rear axle differential lock actuator (M46/8).	Insert bolt (3) of rear axle differential lock actuator (M46/8) into large opening (arrow B) on inter wheel differential lock (2).
11	Screw in screws/bolts (1).	Screw, differential lock to axle tube	*BA35.40-P-1007-01A
12	Connect and lock electrical connector of rear axle differential lock actuator (M46/8).
13	Lower vehicle with vehicle lift.		AR00.60-P-1006A
14	Check rear axle differential lock actuator (M46/8) for proper operation.	To do so, start engine, engage in neutral position of "Low Range" automatic transmission, and operate all locks. Then drive in slight wavy lines at walking pace until the indicator lamps of all three locks light up red on the switches (arrow). Then deactivate locks and "Low Range".
