WARNING Risk of injury.  Skin or eye injuries may result when handling hot or glowing objects. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary. AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
  Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
CAUTION Risk of injury  to skin and eyes due to handling of transmission oil. Health risk caused by swallowing transmission oil Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not pour transmission oil into beverage bottles.		 AS00.40-Z-0001-01A
  Preparatory activity     
1 Lift vehicle with lifting platform.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR00.60-P-1000G
    NOTES Vehicle must be horizontal.
Otherwise, the rear axle differential (3) will not be filled correctly and an incorrect oil filling capacity can lead to leakage and material damage.		  
INSPECT Check     
2 Ensure that correct axle is selected. NOTES Perform oil change on rear axle differential (3) and not on the through-drive housing of the rear axle (4).
Because the rear-axle's through-drive housing (4) has different filling capacities fro the rear-axle's differential (3).		  
CLEANING Clean     
3 Clean area surrounding filling screw (1) and drain screw (2).    
REMOVING Remove     
4 Remove filling screw (1).    
  Drain off     
5 Remove drain screw (2) and drain oil from rear axle differential (3).    
CLEANING Clean     
6 Clean drain bore in the rear axle differential (3). Loctite 7063 (400 ml) cleaning spray *BR00.45-Z-1046-04A 
INSTALLING Install     
7 Apply a drop of sealant to start of lower thread of the new drain screw (2), and then immediately tighten new drain screw (2). NOTES Replace drain screw (2) each time it is removed.
Otherwise, this may lead to leakage and consequential damage.		  
    Sealant, Omnifit 100H (50 g) *BR00.45-Z-1061-01A 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Drain screw at rear axle housing *BA35.30-P-1001-02A 
  Pour in     
8 Add defined oil filling capacity. NOTES Model 463.234 up to model year 2019 with code ZQ0 (G 500 4x42 ) Model 463.243/246/270/271/272/273/274/275 up to model year 2019 Model 463.255 up to model year 2019 with code MUK2 (USA or Canada vehicle model designation) Use only approved oils as per "SAE 75W-140 Limited Slip". Damage can otherwise occur.  
    FLUID SPECIFICATION Model 460, 461, 463 Hypoid gear oil *BF35.10-P-1001-01A 
CLEANING Clean     
9 Clean filler bore in the rear axle differential (3). Loctite 7063 (400 ml) cleaning spray *BR00.45-Z-1046-04A 
INSTALLING Install     
10 Apply a drop of sealant to start of lower thread of the new filling screw (1), and then immediately tighten new filling screw (1). NOTES Replace filling screw (1) each time it is removed.
Otherwise, this may lead to leakage and consequential damage.		  
    Sealant, Omnifit 100H (50 g) *BR00.45-Z-1061-01A 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Oil filler screw at rear axle housing *BA35.30-P-1002-02A 
  Finishing activity     
11 Lower vehicle with vehicle lift.
