- Connect hand-held tester (087) to the datalink connector (X11/4) using the test cable (multiplexer) (094).
- Switch on ignition.
- According to instructions in display:
- Read/erase fault memory
- Read actual values
- Perform actuations
- Program control modules
- Disconnect HHT.
Pay attention to variations for specific systems which are listed in the chapter "Basic knowledge for diagnosis" of the respective diagnosis description.
Stored faults which may be caused by disconnecting cables or by simulation during test operations, have to be erased in the fault memory after completing the work.
