	Reset service indicator
1	Close engine hood, doors and trunk lid
2	Turn transmitter key in electronic ignition lock control unit to position "1"	The standard display (kilometer counter) must appear in the multifunction display (A1p13), if necessary press scroll forwards and back button (S110s1) repeatedly.
3	Press the system selection button (S110s3) repeatedly until the menu item "trip" with highlighter is stored in the multifunction display (A1p13)	"Trip" remains selected for approx. 5 s. Operation step 4 must be carried out within this time.
4	First press and hold down Accept and end phone call button (S111s3) and then within 1 s also press and hold down OK button (S110s6)	Press and hold down Accept and end phone call button (S111s3) and OK button (S110s6) for approx. 5 s: The Workshop menu with the tabs "Vehicle data", "Dynamometer test", "Change brake lining" and "ASSYST PLUS" appears in the multifunction display (A1p13).
5	Press scroll forward/back button (S110s1) repeatedly until "ASSYST PLUS" is highlighted and confirm selection by pressing OK button (S110s6)	The indexes "Service data" and "Full service" (A1p13) appear in the multifunction display.
6	Press scroll forward/back button (S110s1) until "Full service" is highlighted and confirm selection by pressing OK button (S110s6)	The multifunction display (A1p13) shows the current service items, e.g. "Service 1" and "Service 3", as well as "Confirm serv.".
7	Press scroll forward/back button (S110s1) repeatedly until "Confirm serv." is highlighted and confirm selection by pressing OK button (S110s6)	In the multifunction display (A1p13), the engine oil selection appears e.g. "Oil qual. 229.3" or "Oil qual. 229.5".
8	Select specification of used engine oil using scroll forward/back button (S110s1) and confirm selection by pressing OK button (S110s6)	The multifunction display (A1p13) shows the selected oil quality and "Serv. conducted?". To achieve the maximum service interval in the case of vehicles with engine 270, 271 or 276, engine oil which complies with the Specifications for Operating Fluids, Sheet 229.5 must be used and confirmed.
9	Press scroll forward/back button (S110s1) until "Yes" is highlighted and confirm selection by pressing OK button (S110s6)	The multifunction display (A1p13) then shows "Take-back not possible", "Cancel" and "Confirm".
10	Press scroll forward/back button (S110s1) until "Confirmation" is highlighted and confirm selection by pressing OK button (S110s6)	"Full service carried out" appears in the multifunction display (A1p13).
11	Press the OK button (S110s6) and press the "Back" and VCS OFF (S110s4) button repeatedly until the multifunction display (A1p13) shows the standard display (kilometer counter)
12	Turn transmitter key in electronic ignition lock control unit to position "0"
