	Preparatory activity
1	Close engine hood, doors and trunk lid or liftgate
2	Switch electronic ignition lock control unit to position "1" (circuit 15R)
	Open workshop level
3	Press system selection button (4) repeatedly until standard display "kilometer reading or temperature display" or "speed display" appears in multifunction display (1)
4	Briefly press instrument illumination brightness control and reset button (2) 3 times	An acoustic signal is issued and the voltage indicator appears in the multifunction display (1).
5	Switch electronic ignition lock control unit to position "2" (circuit 15)
	Reset service data
6	Press lower scroll forward/back button (3)	The "service indicator" appears in the multifunction display (1).
7	Briefly press instrument illumination brightness control and reset button (2) once	The oil selection appears in the multifunction display (1).
8	Use + and - buttons for setting specific functions and volume control (5) to select specification of engine oil used	Vehicles with gasoline engine and oil selection. To achieve the maximum service interval, engine oil which complies with the Specifications for Operating Fluids, Sheet 229.5 must be used and confirmed. The selection options may vary depending on the engine.
9	Press upper scroll forward/back button (3) to confirm	"Confirm oil reset, press R button for 3 s" appears in the multifunction display (1).
10	Press and hold instrument illumination brightness control and reset button (2) for 3 s	"Service confirmed" appears in the multifunction display (1).
	Close workshop level
11	Press upper scroll forward/back button (3)	The service indicator appears in the multifunction display (1).
12	Press upper system selection button (4)	The standard display "kilometer reading or temperature display" or "speed display" appears in the multifunction display (1).
	Finishing activity
13	Switch electronic ignition lock control unit to position "0"
