External filling, shown on model 177.0 with engine 608.9
- Open fuel filler flap.
- Open cap for filler neck on AdBlue® container (8).
- Open 10 L AdBlue® refill canister (6) and tightly screw one-way filling hose (4) with canister connection (4a) onto 10 L AdBlue® refill canister (6).
- Screw one-way filling hose (4) to filler neck connection (4b) on AdBlue® container (8) filler neck.
- Lift 10 L AdBlue® refill canister (6) as per picture and drain into AdBlue® container.
When 10 L AdBlue® refill canister (6) is completely drained,
↓
lower 10 L AdBlue® refill canister (6) below level of
AdBlue® container filler neck (8). Unscrew 10 l
AdBlue® refill canister (6) on canister connection (4a) of one-way filling hose (4) and dispose of it. Tightly screw a new 10 L AdBlue® refill canister (6) to canister connection (4a) of one-way filling hose (4) and repeat operation step 5.
When the 10 L AdBlue® refill canister (6) no longer drains,
↓
the AdBlue® container is then completely filled. Continue with operation step 6.
- Lower 10 L AdBlue® refill canister (6) below level of AdBlue® container filler neck (8).
- Carefully unscrew filler neck connection (4b) from AdBlue® container filler neck (8) and lift above level of 10 L AdBlue® refill canister (6). This is so that the AdBlue® can flow out of the one-way filling hose (4) back into the 10 L AdBlue® refill canister (6).
- Unscrew canister connection (4a) from 10 L AdBlue® refill canister (6) and seal 10 L AdBlue® refill canister (6).
- Dispose of one-way filling hose (4).
- Seal cap of filler neck for AdBlue® container (8).
- Close fuel filler flap.
