DC/AC Converter Function - GF54.10-P-2005GW

Model 463

as of Model year 2013

with code E47 (Socket, 115 V)

Function requirements, general

IMPORTANT Model 463 (except 463.342)

as of Model year 2013 up to Model year 2019

with code E47 (Socket, 115 V)

Model 463.342

as of Model year 2013

with code E47 (Socket, 115 V)

The electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) sends the status of circuit 15 via interior CAN (CAN B) to the rear control unit (N10/8).

IMPORTANT Model 463 (except 463.342)

as of Model year 2019

with code E47 (Socket, 115 V)

The electronic ignition lock control unit sends the status of circuit 15 over the interior CAN to the rear SAM control unit (N10/8).

The rear SAM control unit switches on the rear SAM control unit for the DC/AC converter control unit (N24/3) via the rear fuse and relay module (K40/5).

DC/AC converter, general

The 115V power socket (X58/34) (with code U80 (115V socket)) provides a 115V AC voltage.

Only small electrical devices may be connected. The maximum available electrical continuous load is 150 W; up to 300 W is permissible briefly for 2 s.

DC/AC converter function

When a consumer is plugged into the socket, it is detected by the micro switch power outlet (X58/34s1). The DC/AC converter control unit supplies the micro switch with voltage. If a consumer is connected to the socket, this voltage is switched through to the control input of the DC/AC converter control unit. The DC/AC converter control unit converts the on-board electrical system direct voltage into an AC voltage and supplies power to the socket. An LED in the socket indicates the availability of the AC voltage.

If the interior temperature of the DC/AC converter control unit rises above a defined limit value or if the output load exceeds the overload threshold of P = 300 W for 2 s, the DC/AC converter control unit switches off. A calculation method stored in the DC/AC converter control unit prevents the power inverter from repeatedly switching on and off, when the output load is close to each limit value.

If under voltage is detected by the energy management system, the DC/AC converter control unit is switched off, thereby interrupting the power supply to the socket.
