| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Move driver's seat to rearmost end position. | ||
| 2 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (at least 2 m). | ||
| 3 | Open rotary catches (2). | ||
| 4 | Unclip trim (1) at top and swivel downward until electrical connectors (5) can be accessed. | ||
| 5 | Disconnect electrical connectors (5) and electrical connectors of left front footwell lamp (E17/16) as well as diagnostics connection (X11/4). | ||
| 6 | Remove screw (4). | ||
| 7 | Remove handle of engine hood release (3) rearwards out of trim (1). | ||
| 8 | Remove trim (1). | ||
| 9 | Refit diagnostics connection (X11/4). | When replacing trim (1). | |
| 10 | Refit speaker. | When replacing trim (1). | |
| 11 | Refit footwell lamp (E17/16). | When replacing trim (1). | |
| 12 | Install in reverse order. |
