	Remove/install
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
		Before starting the work the area surrounding the connecting points on the transmission (5) must be thoroughly cleaned. Even the smallest dirt particles in the hydraulic components can lead to malfunctions and a total failure of the transmission (5).
1.1	Remove both lower engine compartment paneling	Model 204.9	AR61.20-P-1105CY
1.2	Remove engine compartment paneling	Model 207, 204 with gasoline engine except model 204.9	AR61.20-P-1105EW
1.3	Remove lower bottom sections of soundproofing or engine compartment paneling downwards	Model 207, 204 with diesel engine except model 204.9	AR94.30-P-5300EW
2	Remove drain screw from transmission oil pan	Collect escaping ATF with drain pan. Note automatic transmission oil quantity. It is not  necessary to pry off the overflow pipe from the base of the transmission oil pan. Drain pan
3	Detach electrical connector (1a) on electric transmission oil pump (M42)
4	Detach electrical wiring harness from transmission (5) and set aside
5	Remove screws (2) and detach electric transmission oil pump (M42)	When installing the electrical transmission oil pump (M42) again: ↓ Check sealing rings (3, 4) on intake and pressure side (A, B), and replace if necessary.

6	Install in the reverse order
7	Fill transmission (5) with oil.	Vehicles without 4MATIC	AR27.00-P-0270W
		Vehicles with 4MATIC	AR27.00-P-0270SYZ
	Checking
	Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running	Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
8	Perform engine test run and check transmission (5) for function and leaks
