Remove/install aneroid capsule for exhaust gas turbocharger bypass flap - AR09.40-P-1002-02CD

ENGINE 651 in MODEL 204, 207, 212 (except 212.098/298)

REMOVINGRemoval 

  1. Detach control line (1) from turbocharger bypass flap aneroid capsule (2).

  2. Unscrew nut (4).
  3. Unscrew nuts (6) on turbocharger bypass flap aneroid capsule (2).
  4. Remove turbocharger bypass flap aneroid capsule (2).

    INSTALLINGInstallation 

  5. Introduce turbocharger bypass flap aneroid capsule (2) and tighten nuts (6).
  6. Turn nut (5) on the control rod (3) in direction of the turbocharger bypass flap aneroid capsule (2) until the lever (7) is free.
  7. Press lever (7) up to end stop in direction of the control rod end.
  8. Turn nut (5) with zero clearance up to lever (7).
  9. In order to achieve the required pretension, mark nut (5) and turn by exactly three further revolutions in the direction of the control rod end.
  10. Tighten nut (5) using the open end wrench and tighten nut (4).

    IMPORTANT This is to ensure that the control rod (3) is secured against adjustment.

  11. Secure nuts (4, 5 and 6) using temperature resistant paint.
  12. Place control line (1) on turbocharger bypass flap aneroid capsule connection (2).
