Location
The overhead control panel electronics is located at the front, next to the headliner.
Task
The controls for the following systems are arranged at the overhead control panel electronics:
- Interior illumination
- Panoramic sliding sunroof (with CODE 413 (Panoramic glass sunroof with top sliding sunroof))
- Interior and tow-away protection (with CODE 882 (Interior monitoring (only with ATA [EDW])))
The node of the wiper/inside rear-view mirror LIN (LIN 2) is integrated in the overhead control panel electronics. The following components are connected to this node:
- With CODE 249 (Automatic dimming inside and outside rearview mirrors) and CODE 494 (USA version) or with CODE 249 (Automatic dimming inside and outside rearview mirrors) including folding outside mirror and except CODE 494 (USA version):
- Forward mirror dimming light sensor (A67h1)
- Rearward dimming mirror light sensor (A67h2)
- Mirror dimming (A67h3)
- Garage door opener (A67n2) (with CODE 231 (Garage door opener) or CODE 232 (Garage door opener with frequency 284-390 MHz))
- Rain/light sensor (B38/2)
- Front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1)
The overhead control panel electronics are supplied with voltage by the front SAM control unit.
The following components are supplied with voltage by the overhead control panel electronics:
- Rain/light sensor
- Left sun visor mirror lamp (E14/1) via the left front mirror lamp switch (S101)
- Right sun visor mirror lamp (E14/2) via the right front mirror lamp switch (S102)
- Rear dome lamp (E15/3)
The housing of the overhead control panel electronics with CODE 882 (Interior monitoring (only with ATA [EDW])) is used to mount the following components:
- Interior protection and tow-away protection control unit (N26/6)
- Interior protection receiver (N26/6a1)
- Left interior protection transmitter (N26/6b1)
- Right interior protection transmitter (N26/6b2)
- Emergency call system button (S93/3) (with CODE 350 (Ecall Europe emergency call system, gen. 2))
