Installation of 2-fold door sill, AMG

	Remove
	Risk of death  caused by contact with parts conducting high voltages.	Do not come into contact with parts that are under high voltage. Persons who wear electronic implants (e.g. heart pacemakers) must not perform any work on such components.	AS00.00-Z-0020-01A
	Notes on avoiding damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge		AH54.00-P-0001-01A
1	Move back driver seat and front passenger seat
2	Disconnect battery ground line		AR54.10-P-0003EW
3	Remove interior door sill (3) on left and right	When installing the interior door sill (3), make sure that the ribbon cable of the illuminated door sill molding (1) lies close against the panel edge of the entrance.
4	Detach edge guard (17) on left and right from door sill and A-pillar paneling	When installing the edge guard (17), make sure that the ribbon cable of the illuminated door sill molding (1) lies close against the panel edge of the entrance.
5	Remove left and right door sill	The door sills are no longer required.
6	Remove A-pillar paneling (18) from bottom of left and right A-pillar
7	Remove cover below right dashboard		AR68.10-P-1520CW
8	Remove cover below left of instrument panel
9	Remove accelerator pedal (19)
10	Remove floor covering (20) on left and right of footwell
11	Detach footrest in passenger footwell and turn around.	Do not disconnect electrical connectors on control units on footrests.
12	Detach front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module and place to one side		AR54.21-P-1260CW
	Installation
13	Retrofit wiring harness of illuminated door sill molding (2)		AZ82.20-P-0001-04EC
14	Retrofit illuminated door sill moldings (1)		AZ82.20-P-0001-01EC
15	Install remaining parts	Operation steps 12 to 6 and 4 to 1.
16	Perform function check on illuminated door sill moldings (1)	Opening the doors activates the illuminated door sill moldings (1).
17	Remove protective foil from illuminated door sill moldings (1)
18	Document retrofitted equipment via vehicle documentation (VeDoc)	Attach "Illuminated door sill moldings retrofitted as per AZ82.20-P-0001ECA " note under field organization texts to design group 68.
