TV tuner (analog/digital), component description - GF82.60-P-3106CA
MODEL 207 with CODE (863) Digital/analog TV tuner
Illustrated on model 207.3
Location
The TV tuner (analog/digital) is located at the right rear in the trunk behind the paneling on a bracket.
Task
The TV tuner (analog/digital) performs the following tasks:
- Receive signals
- Demodulating and decoding signals
- Transmit signals
Receive signals
The input factors are read in via the following connections:
- Media Oriented System Transport (MOST)
- Direct lines
Media Oriented System Transport (MOST)
The TV tuner (analog/digital) is a subscriber of the MOST, via which it communicates with the COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3).
Direct lines
- Electronic wake-up via a direct line
- TV 1 antenna amplifier (A94/1) via a coaxial cable
- TV 2 and KEYLESS-GO antenna amplifier (A94/2) via a coaxial cable
- TV 3 antenna amplifier (A94/3) (model 207.3) or TV 3, FM2 and DAB Band III antenna amplifier (A2/54) (model 207.4 without code (537) Digital Radio) or TV antenna splitter (A2/89) (model 207.4 with code (537) Digital Radio) via a coaxial line
Demodulating and decoding signals
The TV signals that are received via the antenna amplifier are evaluated internally and separated into video and audio signals.
Transmit signals
The signals are transmitted via the following connections:
- MOST
- Direct line
MOST
The TV tuner (analog/digital) is a subscriber of the MOST, via which it communicates with the COMAND controller unit. The audio signals are transmitted to the COMAND controller unit or the sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3) (with code (810) Sound system).
Direct line
- Phantom power supply to following antenna amplifiers:
- TV 1 antenna amplifier
- TV 2 and KEYLESS-GO antenna amplifier
- TV 3 antenna amplifier (model 207.3) or TV 3, FM2 and DAB Band III antenna amplifier (model 207.4) via a coaxial line
- Transmission of video signals (Y-brightness (luminance)/C-color information (chrominance) (Y/C)) via Y/C lines to the COMAND controller unit
